Anne and Wes - It's wonderful! What fun to look at all of these. Contrary to your warning, the place doesn't look like it's listing to me. (Or perhaps it's your crafty photography. If so, keep it up for the real estate folks.)
It was nice to spend time with you in Cold Spring this week. Other people's stories are always the best.
Cheers,
Gail

Wow! You got a lot done in April. It's amazing to run through the pics from the beginning and see how far you've come. This is a story that needs to be told! XOX Beth

Hey gang-Dan here (one of the Occidental students that lent support for a few weeks last winter). Thought I'd drop by the page to see how Dauphine is shaping up. Things look great! I'm sad I wasn't able to stay on longer now that I am seeing all the progress that's been made. At the rate it is going it should be inhabitable in no time! Anyway, my semester is coming to an end and I'm writing my reflection paper on my time spent in New Orleans, so the Dauphine crew is certainly prominent in my thoughts. I wish you all the best of luck and I can't thank you enough for the wonderful memories-and the snowcone. Perhaps in some other lifetime our paths will cross again. If not, it's been real and I keep you in my thoughts.

What a treat to find out about this project! you guys are the best. Was down in NOLA last February w/Albany High Habitaters, and just this week wishing we were planning for a trip next month. Oh well, next year. Was quite an extraordinary experience for me, for the kids, and I suspect the two of you. You both have great smiles on, despite the mold!
Be safe, be well,

Wes Sr.enjoyed looking at the new photos as did I. He says "everything looks like it is going well and eventually it will be a nice property. I wish them well." Also Jack and Evie enjoyed looking at the website. We've had more snow today!

The new pictures are awesome but make me question how you know what to do! I'll keep my fingers crossed that all continues to go well. After all, Mary will be there on Tuesday, and things MUST go well!

Just read the update and looked at the new photos. Wow, you guys are really making progress! I hope there is still something to do when I get down there on Tuesday. Thank you for providing Peter with an amazing experience. Lots of love being sent your way.

Fascinating discussion about Make It Right and sustainability. The geologist says: higher is better. The pessimistic geologist would have more to say about sustainability in the face of mother nature's will.
Carter is en route to NYC and NYU. He said he felt like he was going overseas. We plan to visit late March.
Happy New Year.

Merry Christmas, you two. What a great way to spend the holiday - I wish we could join you, but life is closing in on all sides and it doesn't look good for a visit. I will inhale dust vicariously through your web site, though. Keep posting!

Wes and Anne,
Very impressive - the committment to the idea, the investment, the effort and the website too. Makes it easier to explain to people why I'm going to New Orleans. Look forward to helping out this weekend.

Anne, thanks so much for letting me share details about 5516 Dauphine at the Forum Luncheon. I love the web site -- and this is truly a remarkable project. We'll keep promoting this -- good for you and Wes! -- and Joe! This is not only inspiring -- it also looks like fun!

Like many others who have written notes, I'm inspired. NOLA is lucky to have you interested in their revival and survival. I'm not good at this type of work...but I will send energy and positive vibes through the universe...and likely some dough to feed the workers and buy some paint...only good colors though...nothing boring!

Your altruistic outreach and compassion to help someone in need and be part of rebuilding NOLA sets an example and a reminder for all of us! Thank you, Anne, Wes, Joe and all who are part of this great new beginning for some family out there! God bless you always.
ps I think the house needs a musical theme :-)
Also, I am close by and can help if you need me on weekends.

What an incredible undertaking! Somehow, it's not surprising to find two survivors of 9/11 making a difference in the lives of a devastated sister city. You two are such an inspiration.
